Parents and children should mark their calendars with the annual Halloween extravaganza in Jefferson on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Greene County Chamber and Tourism, the Jefferson park and recreation department and the Jefferson public library come together to celebrate with the community the Halloween fun event.
The fun begins at the Greene County Community Center from 4 to 5 pm with a “come and go” Halloween party with crafts and games like pumpkin bowling, fishing, limbo… and more! The party is open to children age 2 years through fifth grade. Pre-registration is suggested but not required.
The fun continues from 5 to 6 pm as all ages can trick or treat at the businesses around the courthouse square. Be sure and have a bag for the candy and fun things that will be collected.
Then all ages can make their way to the Jefferson public library for the come-and-go skit “Jack and the Beanstalk” in the library basement with treats and trinkets for a fun-filled evening celebrating Halloween.
